Flat Panel Display

Flat Panel Display -: It refers to the class of video, devices that reduced the volume, weight, and power requirement as compared to CRT.

Example -: Calculator, Television, Monitors, Laptops, etc.. are the example of Flat Panel Display.

There are two types of Flat Panel Display are -: 

1. Emissive Display
2. Non-Emissive Display

1. Emissive Display -: It is a display device that is used to convert the electrical energy into light is known as the emissive display.
2. Non-Emissive Display -: It is a display device that uses the optical effect to convert the sunlight or light from some other source into graphic patterns.

LED and Plasma Panels are the example of the emissive display.

LCD is the example of a Non-Emissive display.
